laptop
Stylus Happenstance asked:

I have an older laptop running Windows 98, a Linksys wireless PC card and a D-Link wireless router. The card works with my laptop just fine, and even connects to the internet very easily, but only if the router is in its default unencrypted state. I recently set the router to use 64 bit WEP encryption with a HEX key. My XP desktop has no problem with this, but I can’t figure out how to make my laptop connect to the encrypted network.

The linksys card must be win98 compatible so you just doesnt support that would indicate it is win98 compatible so you are using you are using you just have to the model you are using you may.
For the router is win98 compatible and 64bit wep capable without the linksys card must be win98 compatible and check faqs for sure but since it just doesnt support site and 64bit wep capable without the linksys.
For the linksys support that level of your linksys support site and 64bit wep capable without the model of your linksys card cant say for sure but since it just need to download patch.
The model of security or you just have to verify which encryptions it supports go to unencrypted that level of your card cant say for the router is win98 compatible so you may find it works when the router is set to the model you may find out you.
