I want a laptop so that I can do my schoolwork more easily. I’m not real laptop savvy and the only thing I heard about laptops recently was that Windows Vista isn’t the way to go. Is that true and can I get more info on laptops/notebooks, the difference?

get a dell.
you can customize it to suite your needs on their site.
or you can go to best buy and get a decent one with decent specs for around $599.
or even a toshiba.
