laptop
Kevy asked:

I am currently looking for a good laptop to take with me to college next year. I looked at some Dell laptops and like what I see except for the poor battery life that many people complain about. Does any laptop brand have this problem or is it just Dell?

im pretty sure a lot of computers are working on longer battery life…best of all would be an apple laptop because you can adjust the lighting and when it is darker, you can have a longer battery life

I would still go with Dell, I’ve had mine almost 2 years and no problems. Also I’ve heard that they are very accomidating with replacements and continued warranties.

My friend has an acer and he was shocked when he saw my battery life one day. I have a dell….i can get between 4-5 out of mine.

it isnt really the brand, it’s the battery.
if you want a really long lasting one, then get a 12 cell battery!
or if you can afford it, get the 17 inch macbook pro, and that can have 8 hours (they say)

See if you purchase new laptop so new laptops almost have a good battery life and if you want your battery remains good so don’t overcharge it ever.

The capacity of a battery would depend on the number of cells it uses. If I remembered correctly Dell also offers upgrades on battery capacities to enhance longer computing time.

Basic tips: get less power hungry laptop
get higher capacity battery(12cells>9cells>6cells) capacity 7200mah 6600mah 4400mah.
Dell HP and Apple all perform well but all had battery recalling programs.
