I have a linksys router connected to a desktop computer through an ethernet cable and my laptop connects to the router wirelessly. I am trying to figure out how to set it up so I can use the printer that is connected to the desktop through my laptop. I know you need to set up a network on the desktop and connect to it through the laptop, but I can’t figure it out. I have an emachines computer and a Toshiba vista laptop.

Our family desktop computer is wired to a printer, and my son’s laptop in his room is connected by wireless connection to this computer. I want to enable my son’s laptop to use the printer. What steps do I need to take so he can use my printer from his laptop? Thanks

I have a desktop that is Windows XP connected to a Kodak All in One printer, ESP 5. I have a HP laptop that runs Windows Vista. I have a wireless router from my phone company that I allows me to connect to the internet on both computers. So how can I get my laptop to print to my printer? Or do I need to break down and buy another wireless router?

I have a DSL connection using a Westell versalink model 327W modem/router which has an ethernet cable running from this modem to a card on my desktop. I also have a laptop that accesses the internet wirelessly. My problem is that I can’t print to the printer that is attached to my desktop PC from the laptop . I know that I have to do something networkwise (workgroups, shares, blah, blah blah) but no advice that I’ve found on the internet works. I’m not a network geek but I’m good at following clear instructions. Please help me! I would think that this would be a common issue that could be easily resolved, but it hasn’t been. Do I need more hardware? Help would be much appreciated. I don’t want to pay verizon for premium tech support!
